Established in Taipei,Taiwan since 1987, the San***rtin Group has swiftly expanded from a modest operation to a sizable enterprise group with over 5,000 employees spreading over Taiwan, Hong Kong, the mainland China and around the world. Today, the San***rtin Group has five core businesses involving both manufacturing and trading functions. They include RF and AV components, Telecommunications accessories, Cables, Satellite TV equipment and Optical fiber products. In 2000, the entire production facility of Satellite/Cable TV equipment was relocated to the Industrial Zone No.3 of Tanzhou in Zhongshan, China. ***nning a land area of 130,000 square meters, this new manufacturing base enables effective cost control, thus contributing to the improved gross profit margin of the Group. It is going to be the flagship of the Group¡¯s manufacturing and development capacity for producing digital technology products in the future.
Over the past few years, the San***rtin Group has aggressively expanded its research and development (R&D) efforts in order to meet the accelerating demand for new technologies required in the w-orld market. In 2002,the Group¡¯s optical fiber development center,Fiberlink Technology Ltd.,and a key R&D laboratory were established in Zhuhai Free Trade Zone. Covering a total land area of 40,000 square meters,these R&D projects will allow the Group to quickly respond to the growing demand for diverse digital/optical applications in today¡¯s global markets.
